'TRS is against bandh'

Hyderabad: Telangana opposition leaders accused the TRS government of trying to arm-twist the opposition leaders from going ahead with `Telangana bandh’ instead of addressing the issues of the farmers.

The Congress, TDP-BJP combine and the other opposition parties are jointly organizing a bandh in Telangana on Saturday in support of their demand that the TRS government fulfill its farm loan waiver promise at one go rather than in phases.

Police arrested several opposition leaders who staged protest at various bus depots on Saturday.

The opposition leaders said that arrest of leaders is non democratic and people in large numbers are extending their support for the bandh.

They also accused TRS government of neglecting the issues of farmers.
