TRS Woman Activist Beaten By MIM MLA

Hyderabad: A woman TRS activist has been assaulted by MIM MLA Kausar Mohiuddin and his associates on Sunday at Hakimpet.

The 40-year-old victim Sana Begum, who claims to work as TRS Tolichowki division women's wing president, said that she suffered injuries after MIM leader and his aides attacked her.

Sana alleged that a local youth Shahrukh, former MIM worker recently joined TRS, was attacked by the MLA. As she tried to protect him, they thrashed her, in which she sustained injury on her lips.

The TRS activist also said that her son Syed Sohail has been assaulted too. She has filed a case against MLA and his aides at Banjara Hills police station.

Meanwhile,the MLA has ruled out the allegations charged against him calling as falsely fabricated.

"Shahrukh and others attacked my brother while they were playing on the street. They were drunk and the victim is now in hospital,” said Kausar.

Case has been booked against the two groups, said Banjara Hills inspector K. Srinivas, adding, “We are probing into the matter."
