Three Arrested For Killing Minor To Cure Paralytic

In a gory incident three persons killed a minor girl believing the witch doctors word that killing her will help improve the health of one of their ailing relatives. The incident happened at Magadi village in Karnataka. The police arrested three persons, including a woman, and took another minor into their custody.

According to the police, one of Mohammad Wasil's family members were down with paralysis and a witch doctor told them that giving bali of a young girl would cure the patient of his ailment. So, Wasil, his relatives Nazeem Taj and Rasheedunnisa hatched a plan to kill minor girl Ayesha, who is the daughter of Mohammad Nuurullah, a local grocery shop owner. They lured her on March 1 and offered her as bali. Later, they dumped the body in a village tank.

However, the police, who took up investigation based on a complaint by the girl's father, zeroed in on the culprits. On questioning, they admitted to their crime. They were taking into custody. Another boy, who helped in luring the girl, was also taken into custody.
