TRS MLA Bajireddy Govardhan Slaps Own Party MLC Over Publicity

Nizamabad: Yet another elected representative loses his cool in public and resorts to physical attack.And this time it's an MLA, worse, he attacked his own party MLC in full public view over a publicity material dispute. The poor MLC whose picture was not printed on a poster along with the Nizamabad (Rural) MLA Bajireddy Govardhan though both were attending a public programme in Kalur on Saturday. When the supporters of the MLC Dr. R. Bhupati Reddy protested over the absence their leader's picture on the poster, an enraged MLA lost his cool and slapped their leader in full public view. Both belong to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS).

This MLA is already facing charges of slapping a police officer.

This is the second time a TRS MLA is involved in a slapping incident. In a similar incident on September 4 last year, Achampet TRS MLA Guvvala Balaraju slapped Makthal Congress MLA P. Rammohan Reddy during an arguments at a Zilla Parishad meeting in Mahbubnagar.

Police intervened and brought the situation under control as followers of Bajireddy and Bhupati Reddy were clashing after the slapping incident.
