TRS leaders climbed water tank protesting Sudarshan's entry - Sakshi Post

Four TRS leaders climbed water tank at Basava Tarak Nagar Colony in Bodhan town on Saturday.

They demanded the TRS leadership not to induct former minister and senior Congress leaders P.Sudarshan Reddy into the party.

They threatened to commit suicide if the TRS leadership did not give them an assurance on not admitting Sudarshan into the party.

The TRS leaders blamed that Sudarshan never participated in Telangana movement. “But, the TRS leadership is now trying to induct the leader into TRS along with giving him MLC post and a berth in the state cabinet. We are opposing it seriously,” said the leaders.

They burnt the effigy of the Sudarshan and raised the slogans against him.

Police personnel reached the area and try to persuade the leaders to come down. But, the leaders stuck to their stand. With this, the local SI informed the matter to higher officials, who talked to MP Kavitha and MLA Mohd.Shakeel.

The police personnel there informed the leaders that the MP gave an assurance that Sudarshan would not be inducted into the party. After the assurance, the four leaders came down the water tank.

Speaking on the occasion, State Vice President of TRS minority cell, Razak, said, “It is very pathetic that Sudarshan is trying to join TRS eventhough he never participated in Telangana movement.”

He reminded that Sudarshan implicated some Telangana activists in false cases.

Those who climbed the water tank include Razak and the councilors Sharpuddin, Bharath Yadava and Hanif.
