Triple Riding: Youth Killed After Falling In 15-Feet Deep Trench

Hyderabad: Triple riding proved fatal for a person while two of his friends suffered serious injuries when the bike they were travelling-on plunged into a 15-feet trench, at Chintalkunta checkpost near L.B Nagar on Sunday.

The biker was killed on the spot while the two pillion riders suffered serious injuries. According to the Meerpet police, the deceased has identified as K. Raghavendra (23) while I. Ashok and L. Sai Kiran sustained grievous injuries. All the three are said be residents of Badangipet near Gandhinagar area. They were heading to Chintalkunta from ORR when the accident occurred.

Raghavendra failed to notice the big trench dug up for the construction of an underpass, the police said. The barricades were also erected for the safety of the vehicles. Police suspect over-speeding to be the cause of the mishap.

Raghavendra succumbed to his head injury while his friends were shifted to Srikar hospital in L.B Nagar. Police shifted the body to Gandhi hospital and registered a case under negligent driving.
