Mass Maharaja Raviteja seems to be running out of luck this time. His much anticipated film Amar Akbar Anthony failed to appease the critics. Even fans and movie buffs have shown their thumbs down over its weak screenplay. With no competition except for Vijay Deverakonda's Taxiwala, the film is doing just okay at the ticket window. According to an industry tracker on Amar Akbar Anthony collected around $1200 from across 35 locations in the USA and the total collections of Amar Akbar Anthony now stands at $116,674.

Directed by Srinu Vaitla, the film features Ravi Teja, Illeana D Cruz, Sunil, Vennela Kishore and Sayaji Shinde in key roles. The film was produced by Mythri Movie Makers whose earlier venture Rangasthalam was a super duper hit and broke all records at the box office. However their last venture Savyasachi directed by Chandoo Mondeti and feauring Nag Chaitanya failed to garner enough numbers at the box office.
