Tollywood Singer Accuses Husband Of Abuse And Torture 

Prominent Tollywood singer Kousalya alleged that she was abused and tortured by her husband for six years.

She narrated her agonising tale in a recent interview and said that she decided to divorce her husband. A native of Guntur district, Kousalya made her singing debut in Tollywood with 'Nee Kosam' movie, which was directed by Srinu Vaitla. She sang in over 400 movies since 1999.

After getting married, her life ran into rough weather with her family imposing restrictions on her. She was asked to stay away from her choices. "I had no freedom and I was finding tough with my husband and in-laws, so finally I had decided to separate from him," she said. The Tollywood singer also alleged that her husband had an extra-marital affair with another woman.

She said that she had also submitted the abusive chats to the Counsel and to the investigating officer.
