Tollywood Bigwigs Meet To Discuss Latest Controversies
Hyderabad: In the backdrop of alleged casting couch controversy raked up by actress Sri Reddy, Tollywood bigwigs convened a meeting at the Annapurna Studios at on Tuesday night. Sources in the know say that, Chiranjeevi anchored the meeting which was attended by 25-members in a first ever meeting of sorts.
Apart from the casting couch issue, ban on selective media channels and censoring media content were among topics that figured in the meeting.
The meeting lasted for nearly two hours but no action plan was chalked out, it is learned. If reports doing the rounds are any indication, then another meeting is likely to take place soon. However, it is learned that the guests at the meeting have decided not to reveal their game plan to the media.
Among celebrities who attended the meeting were: venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, NTR Jr, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Kalyan Ram, Sumanth, Ram, Nani, Naga Chaitanya, Varun tej, Akhil; producers – Allu Arvind, P. Kiran, NV Prasad, KL Narayana, Lakshmi Manchu, Tammareddy Bharadwaja and Jeevitha Rajshekar.
Few days back, situation at the Telugu Film Chamber turned tense after Pawan Kalyan staged a protest over the abuse of his mother in public. He accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of using yellow media channels to tarnish his image. Later, Pawan took to Twitter to continue his tirade against the TDP chief and selective media channels.
