Kodarma: In a major faux pas which brought to the fore the ignorance of our politicians, Neera Yadav, Jharkhand Education Minister raised many eyebrows when she paid tribute to former president of India APJ Abdul Kalam by garlanding his photograph here recently.

The shocker took place when Neera Yada was invited to inaugurate smart classes in a school at Kodarma.

This incident raised many questions over the ignorance of not just the educational minister but also BJP MLA Manish Jaiswal and the school principal who were also in attendance.

Yadav described the goof-up as a gesture to honor great leader. ``Kalam is a great scientist and there was nothing objectionable in garlanding the picture of a leader,’’ she said.
