Nizamabad: Telangana Road Transport Minister P. Mahender Reddy said On Wednesday that there would not be any hike in RTC charges in near future unlike in Andhra Pradesh state.

Transport Minister Mahender Reddy told reporters here in his visit in Nizamabad district, “We will place our Telangana State RTC in the first place of the country. The development works in the bus depots are in the process by spending crores of money. Already 21 depots of total 95 depots in 10 districts of Telangana are running in good profits.  We have already hired 500 buses and planning to purchase new 400 ‘palle velugu’ buses”, the Minister said.

“Chief Minister of our state is also very favourable to the Corporation, and already sanctioned 44 percent PRC, increments worth of Rs. 18 crores to the workers of the Corporation”, Mahender Reddy said. The Transport Minister also said that all employees of the RTC need to work for 12 hours inspite of 8 hours to build the ‘Bangaru Telangana’. “We have sanctioned Rs. 20 crore for CC roads in required bus depots and stands, Rs. 10 crore for roads to every village”, Reddy said, adding buses would be plied to piligrim places from every Constituency headquarters.
