Terror threat: Shops closed in Koti, Begum Bazar

Along with massive surprisie checks, the city police advised closure of shops in Begum Bazar, Nampalli, Abids and Koti following the IB warning on possible terror attack on Wednesday. 

Security forces was beefed up in the four areas and pickets were posted at several places. The Police vacated the road-side vendors and pan dabbas. All the shops, restaurants and other establishments were closed from 4 pm on wards on the advice of the police.High alert was sounded in the city and all the vehicles were thoroughly inspected. The launched combing of the vulnerable areas to nab the suspects. Speculations are rife that there would be  possible change of guard in the city police wing.
