Temporarily Paralyzed Prabhu Deva Warns Colleagues Against Stretched Themselves

Multifaceted Prabhu Deva was struck by temporary paralysis last week as he was shooting for a song for his forthcoming horror-spoof trilingual film. Let alone dancing, Prabhu feared he would never be able to walk hereafter.

The actor recalls, “Suddenly during a dance movement I felt something give way in my back. I couldn’t move! I was completely paralyzed. And before I knew, I was down on the floor where my feet were supposed to be.”

The actor was taken to a hospital by actor Sonu Sood’s friend and the nightmare ended for Prabhu after doctors informed that it was a temporary situation and it happened due to a severe muscle pull.

Whether it is a fight, dance or emotional scene, please don’t overdo it. Nothing is worth one’s health. When I was on the floor, my life flashed through my mind. I thought of my two sons’ future. That’s when I decided I will be careful in the future

“I was really relieved to hear that. But for five hours, I was in unbearable pain. I couldn’t move at all. I was thinking about what life would be like without movement,” said Prabhudeva.

After the predicament he met, Prabhu has warned other artistes as well not to push themselves beyond their limits.

“Whether it is a fight, dance or emotional scene, please don’t overdo it. Nothing is worth one’s health. When I was on the floor, my life flashed through my mind. I thought of my two sons’ future. That’s when I decided I will be careful in the future,” he said.

The horror-spoof film be released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
