Telugu Folk Singer Booked For Impregnating Troupe Member 

Hyderabad: Noted folk singer Yeddula Janga Reddy was booked for rape and cheating his troupe-mate singer on the promise of marriage.

The woman lodged a complaint on Thursday against Reddy stating that on the promise of marriage he developed a relationship with her, adding that in past many times he had forced her to undergo abortion.

She became pregnant three times and he had forced her to undergo abortion at various hospitals in the city. When she asked about his promise to marry her he started avoiding her

Gandhinagar police said the victim is a divorcee, who joined the Reddy's band after divorce. However, she was lured by Reddy of good career and marriage promise.

“She became pregnant three times and he had forced her to undergo abortion at various hospitals in the city. When she asked about his promise to marry her he started avoiding her,” said the official.

The woman has demanded immediate arrest of Reddy adding he might leave the country.
