Collector Sets Example, Daughter Delivers In Government Hospital

Warangal: When the poor people are also preferring private hospitals for treatment especially for deliveries these days, the Bhupalapally district Collector admitted his daughter Pragathi in Mulugu government hospital on Friday for delivery to set an example in utilizing the services at government hospitals.

Pragathi, a resident of Hyderabad, came to her maternal home in Bhupalpalli along with her husband S. Pradeep 15 days ago for the first delivery.

Pragathi gave birth to a baby girl at the Mulugu government hospital. The District Medical And Health Officer Dr Attaiah said that both the mother and baby were healthy and the baby weighed 2.250 kg.

The collector expressed his happiness over the birth of his grand daughter and said that he wanted to show an example for the people to promote government hospitals in the district.

“Government hospitals in the district are fully equipped and quality treatment is being provided. The people must utilize these services,” he said.
