Telangana: 5 Districts Get LRS Funds

HYDERABAD: The State Government on Thursday released funds of Rs 181.5 crore under the Land Regularisation Scheme(LRS) to five districts including Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Medak, Yadadri and Sangareddy. The State Government ordered officials to intensify the sanitation works in these districts. The above districts come under the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) limits.

It is said that the funds were released following the orders of the Chief Minister K Chandrshekhar Rao.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development principal Secretary Arvind Kumar held a meeting with the officials and directed them to keep track of the foreign returnees’ health status.

He further instructed officials to provide gloves and masks to sanitation workers in view of the pandemic.

Officials were instructed to ensure that social distancing is maintained at general stores, petrol bunks, vegetable markets and other locations that are prone to crowding.
