Six Telangana Police Suspended For Taking Bribe - Sakshi Post

HYDERABAD: Six policemen from Telangana  were suspended by the City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, for allegedly taking bribe from owners of hookah parlours on Wednesday, November 6.

According to the reports, Among the Six policemen there were four sub-inspectors and two assistant sub-inspectors. The six policemen were SI S Kurumurthy of Shahinayatgunj police station, SI D Srinu of Mahankali police station, SI E Shankar of West Zone, SI Ramakrishna from a special branch, ASIs Mohammed Jaffar and Samuel from Jubilee Hills police station.

All the six suspended were initially posted at Jubilee Hills police station. The City police commissioner has taken this decision of suspending all the six policemen after he got a series of allegations against them. After receiving allegations against them police department senior officials called for an inquiry in which it was found that these six were taking bribes.

In the inqury it was found that they were collecting bribes from hookah parlour owners for granting permission to the shops owners to run hookah parlours  beyond the permissible time limit.
