Six Persons Held For Looting Man Posing As ACB Officers In Ameerpet
Hyderabad: Telangana Police arrested six persons for looting a businessman in Ameerpet on Wednesday by impersonating themselves as ACB officers.
The accused under police custody are P. Pruthvi Raj (25), L. Swaroop Kumar (36), B. Sravan Kumar (31), P. Mallesh (38), K. Bala Narasimhulu (28) and A. Santosh (32). They have been produced in the court.
Speaking about the dacoity, police said, Pruthvi Raj worked as an employee in the victim Jagadeesh Babu's office over a period of time, and he did not get a salary from the victim. Pruthvi Raj along with his friends planned to take revenge on his boss and decided to rob his house by impersonating themselves as Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officers.
They forcibly entered into the house of the victim and said that they are ACB officers who came to raid their house as they have received a complaint against him and they robbed electronics gadgets, cash of Rs 20,000, gold jewelry, eleven laptops and mobile phones from the house and escaped from there.
The victim filed a police complaint in SR Nagar police station. A case has been registered under Section 419.
Further, probe on, police said.
