Narrow Escape For Hyderabad Metro Rail; 400 Passengers Safe

Hyderabad metro rail - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro Rail had a narrow escape from a major mishap on Saturday afternoon when the service running between Miyapur and L.B. Nagar had gone astray to be on a different track. Had any train come in the opposite direction, the lives of 400 passengers would have been jeopardy. All Metro services came to a halt for half an hour.

Authorities who were quick to realise this stopped all services running on that particular line and let the train reach Lakdikapool Metro Station and alighted all passengers before getting rectifying the problem and resuming the services. Unaware of what was happening passengers were panicked and anxious as they got down in Lakdikapool.

The reason for the gross error is yet to be traced. Hyderabad Metro is majorly automated with one or two loco pilots travelling in the train.

This is not the first time that Hyderabad Metro is in the news for the wrong reasons. Only last week, a train came to a halt suddenly at Irrum Mazil station recently leaving passengers annoyed and the reason was not disclosed either.
