Anticipatory Bail For TV 9 Ravi Prakash: Telangana HC Reserves Judgement

Ravi Prakash - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: In connection to the anticipatory bail petitions filed by former CEO of TV9, V Ravi Prakash, the Telangana High Court on Tuesday reserved the judgment.

Ravi Prakash, in his bail petition, had urged the Court to direct the Cyberabad police against arresting him in the cases on charges of forgery and IT Act violations.

The petitioner's counsel mentioned that the state government was working against Ravi Prakash with a deceptive intention as a favour to some people adding that the complaint against the buyers of TV9 was conveniently being neglected by the police.

The counsel submitted to the Court that if the anticipatory bail is issued, Ravi Prakash would abide by the conditions imposed by the court. Citing that the transfer of 90 percent share in TV9 was illegal, he further said that the transfer took place despite the case pending before the National Company Law Tribunal.

On the other hand, the public prosecutor, C Pratap Reddy said that Ravi Prakash fraudulently sold the logo of the TV channel to third parties by falsely claiming it without the permission of the mentors.

After the completion of arguments, Justice Ghandikota Sri Devi of the Telangana High Court on Tuesday adjourned the cases for pronouncement of judgment without mentioning a date.
