Hyderabad Rains To Continue, Monsoon To Arrive In Telangana Next Week

Hyderabad Rains - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: After undergoing searing summer temperatures, Telangana is witnessing on and off rain and thundershower activities. Heavy rains lashed over Hyderabad, during the last 24 hours. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the rains were a result of the Trough, which is currently extending from Gangetic West Bengal up to South Peninsula across the state.

The IMD states that the trough will continue to persist due to which the scattered rain and thundershower activities are likely to continue in many parts of Telangana on Saturday.

Rains will diminish over the region by June 9 but few places in the state will observe scattered rains for some more days. Rains will decrease significantly by June 10 and only isolated rains might be observed. Hyderabad is expected to receive short spells of rain and thundershower activities during this period.

Due to a low-pressure area likely to develop over the Arabian Sea, rains will vacate most of the regions by June 11 with Telangana becoming almost dry with fewer chances of isolated rain.

For the next two days, Telangana will observe scattered rain and thundershowers. After the passage of three to four days, rainfall activities will once again pick up pace over the state as the Southwest monsoon is set to make a late onset and will arrive around June 14 or 15.
