Sudden Downpour Brings Respite To Hyderabad Residents
Hyderabad: Denizens of Hyderabad are in for a delight. The heavens opened up as cool breeze wafted through the city providing respite from the sweltering heat of over last three months. The weathermen predicted that monsoon is expected to hit the southern coast on June 6.
Little after noon, clouds enveloped the city which until then baked at 43 degree Celsius. Rains lashed out several parts of the city bringing with it strong winds and thunderstorms. But let-up from the heat was marred by traffic snarls across many arterial roads in the city. Motorists witnessed bumper to bumper traffic.
Residents in the low lying areas struggled as their houses got inundated. In some areas trees got uprooted and electric poles came crashing down. There has been slight interruption to power supply in many areas.
