Respite For Telangana As Monsoon Set To Arrive In June
Hyderabad: After enduring the scorching heat wave conditions, the people of Telangana will have respite in the form of rains as the monsoon is all set to arrive in Telangana in June 2nd week.
As per the India Meteorological Department in Hyderabad, the monsoon will arrive in the state on June 10 or 11. In this backdrop, Chief Secretary SK Joshi convened a review meeting with officials on Wednesday directing the officials to make preparations for the monsoon.
Asking them to be prepared to meet any circumstance, the Chief Secretary instructed the officials to issue warnings about rains and set up control rooms in all the districts.
Special chief secretary, revenue, Rajeshwar Tiwari informed that the Railway, Army, Air Force, Police, Fire, Municipal and Panchayat Raj departments would be deployed to work in close coordination during the rainy season.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Dana Kishore stated that 195 mobile teams would be stationed in the GHMC limits. Along with the Disaster Response Teams, the city will also be alerted on seasonal diseases and flood maps will be prepared.
