High Court Dismisses Ravi Prakash’s Bail Plea
Hyderabad: The anticipatory bail applications filed by V Ravi Prakash, the former CEO of TV9 have been dismissed in the Telangana High Court. Justice A Rajasheker Reddy on Wednesday asked the former CEO to appear before the police and answer their queries while also directing the police to follow the law under section 41-A of CrPC.
So far, Ravi Prakash did not appear before the police in fear of being arrested. Three complaints have been filed against Ravi Prakash by the new management of TV9 on charges of fraud, forgery, etc and with conspiring with outsiders preventing the management from taking control of the TV group.
The present management is working with intentions to deceive and police were also in support, alleged the petitioner’s counsel Diljit Singh Ahluwalia. Assuring the court that the police won't arrest Ravi Prakash for the next 15 days, Telangana public prosecutor C Pratap Reddy said that the former TV 9 CEO has to appear before the police to explain certain documents which appear forged.
Rejecting the argument of the petitioner regarding the police should wait for NCLT decision on the grounds that it is the internal matter of the company, the Judge dismissed the pleas asking the petitioner to respond to police notices first.
Earlier, the High Court rejected his lunch-motion petition seeking an urgent hearing.
