Pranay Honour Killing: Activists Pledge Fight For Justice Until Law Be Made
Miryalaguda: Former MP and Viduthalaich Chi'ruththaika'l Kadchi and Suba President Thirumavalavan met Amrutha Varshini and the family members of Pranay, who was brutally killed in an honour killing carried out by his father-in-law Maruthi Rao last month, here at their home in Muthireddikunta on Wednesday. He had handed a Rs 50,000 worth cheque to the family members before paying tributes to Pranay's photo. We will keep fighting until making a law in Pranay's name.
Speaking on the occasion, Thirumavalan condemned the honour killing and promised to support Pranay's family in every aspect. KVPS district secretary Paladugu Nagarjuna, State Committee member Remadala Parashuramulu, Mala Mahanadu national working president Thallapalli Ravi and others accompanied him.
Later on Wednesday, Amrutha, along with her family members, visited CI Sada Nagaraju at the 1 Town police station here. Amrutha requested the police to take action against the people who were sharing objectionable content about Pranay in social media. She also asked the CI for Pranay's post-mortem report in order to apply for the death certificate.
