TDP Suffers Blow As Elati Annapurnamma, Son Quits Party

NIZAMABAD: Another setback for TDP in Telangana. Former MLA and senior leader of the party, Elati Annapurnamma, along with her son Mallikarjun Reddy has resigned from the Telugu Desam Party on Saturday.

A letter of resignation was sent to party chief Chandrababu Naidu and in her letter, she stated that she was resigning from the TDP primary membership and as the vice-president of the party in the state.

Annapurnamma will be joining the BJP along with her son Mallikarjun Reddy today evening in the presence of BJP working president JP Nadda.

Mallikarjun was the TDP in-charge to Balkonda constituency. Annapurnamma, who is known as the TDP senior leader in Nizamabad district has won the 1994 and 2009 assembly elections.
