Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Chalo Vishakhapatnam’ March For No Valid Reason: Kanna Babu
AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kursala Kanna Babu said that the long march of Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu had started way back in 2014 and the latter has been funding the actor for his periodical appearances and performances.
While all the rivers and reservoirs are full up to the brim and floods did not recede fully making it difficult to draw sand from water bodies, Pawan Kalyan planned for the march at Vizag and he would get a better picture if he walked on the banks of Krishna, Godavari, Vamsadhara or other rivers.
Even the rivers in drought-hit Anantapur district namely Penna, Chithravathi, Vedavathi, Papagni, Swarnamukhi, and Thadakaleru were overflowing with copious rainwater.
Agriculture Minister said that AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has issued directives to tackle the situation and had relaxed the sand supply norms as it is available in 60 of the 267 sand reaches.
Kursala Kanna Babu said that Instead of the long march, it would be better if Pawan Kalyan had told us about any technology that would draw sand even from floodwaters. Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan nexus has been there for a long time and during 2019 elections, the funding came from the earnings out of illegal sand mining to be spent at Gajuvaka and Bhimavaram.
Every event and appearance of Pawan Kalyan is sponsored by TDP and this is no different and what should be told is how much money changed hands for this call sheet. While Lokesh undertook fasting on the issue without losing a gram of weight, how much is Pawan gaining is a point to be noted.
Kanna Babu questions Why Pawan Kalyan did not undertake a march when MRO Vanajakshi was assaulted by TDP Minister, or why he did not take up this exercise when Chandrababu has diverted the building construction workers money. Of the Rs 1542 crore that should be given to workers only Rs 412 crores have been paid and the remaining amount was diverted. Where did this money go and what happened to the construction workers.
YSRCP leader questions why the film star did not take up a long march when NGT imposed a penalty of Rs 100 crore on TDP government for illegal sand practices. He must have taken up the march when TDP leaders’ involvement in attack and harassment of journalist in East Godavari district for writing an article about sand mafia was exposed and he must not have heard the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) secretary words on sand mafia at Visakhapatnam.
Though the government was making all-out efforts to provide sand to the people, Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan were bent on politicizing the issue, Kursala Kanna Babu said.
The government would welcome constructive criticism and constructive suggestions Sand scarcity is a temporary phase and would be solved once the floodwaters recede.
Kanna Babu said Jagan Mohan Reddy had come to power with an unprecedented mandate as people believed that he would do something for them, unlike Naidu who looted the government exchequer. Sand scarcity is a temporary phase and would be solved once the floodwaters recede.
Meanwhile, Vizag MLA Gudivada Amarnath said that Pawan Kalyan was misleading people by holding a long march and said it was regrettable that it as being picturised as a man-made crisis while the scarcity was due to floods and unabated marooning of water bodies. He said people have seen him act in films but now they are seeing his acting in Nara productions and trying to project it as a national issue to derive political mileage.
He had put many films on hold and is engaged in Nara production as this is more lucrative and the persons of TDP who will be accompanying him were all mafia dons who ran illegal mining and other shady deals, he said.
Amaranth reminded that Pawan challenged during the elections that if YS Jagan Mohan Reddy comes to power, he would change his name. He should change his name to Nara Pawan Kalyan. People are leaving Jana Sena in droves and did not visit Vizag after his defeat in the elections. He said Pawan should visit Gazuwaka now and try to find out why he had failed at the hustings. He said Pawan should first contemplate on his failure and understand the welfare being implemented by the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy governmen
