Rs 25 lakhs Each To Families Of Pulwama Attack Victims: KCR
Hyderabad:The Telangana government Vote-On-Account Budget session commenced today, the first day of the four-day session.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) moved a resolution in the state Assembly to condemn the terror attack claimed by the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror outfit. "This was an attack on the nation," he said and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families."The session started with a homage to the soldiers and two-minute silence was observed as mark of respect for those who were martyred in the Pulwama attack .
KCR condemned the attack on the CRPF soldiers , calling it a heinous crime and announced an amount of Rs 25 lakhs support from the state of Telangana to each of the families of the slain soldiers, which was appreciated by all the members in the assembly.
Opposition leader of the floor Bhatti Vikramarka took to the floor and condemned the attack on the soldiers and appreciated the government's decision to extend monetary aid to the families of the soldiers.
According to sources, major allocations will be made to the irrigation department as the state government is in the process of implementing major irrigation projects. Also, the government will ensure appropriate fund towards fulfilling some of the poll promises such as one lakh farm rupee loan waiver and Rythu Bandhu scheme.
The budget session will conclude with adoption of the Appropriation Bill on the last day, February 25.
