Toddler Crushed To Death By Speeding Truck In Chandrayanagutta

Hyderabad:A 14-month-old girl was run over by a mini lorry under the Chandrayangutta police limits, in Hyderabad on Thursday evening. The police nabbed the driver within three hours of the incident.

According to reports, the 14-month-old was identified as Ameera Bawazir, who was playing in front of her house.  At around 5.15 pm, the mini lorry driver Mohammed Amzeed, 30, of Moghalpura, drove his auto in a rash manner through the streets while knocking the little girl down. This caused the girl a head injury and she died on the spot. The driver fled from the spot after the accident, said Chandrayangutta inspector Koteshwar Rao.

The police immediately tracked the driver down through CCTV Footages from nearby areas. The baby’s body was sent to Osmania General Hospital for postmortem and later handed over to the family.
