Errabelli Cautions Officers Against Misappropriation Of Funds

Hyderabad: Newly sworn-in minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao who was given the Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply ministry portfolios swung into action after officially taking charge as Minister.

Taking his first step on Thursday, he reached the office of the Commissioner of Rural Development at Lower Tank Bund in Hyderabad and interacted with the staff there. Addressing officers and staff of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Water Supply, he said that he had learnt about how a certain section of the staff and officers were indulging in misappropriation of funds and dereliction of duty. He cautioned them against such moves and warned about strict action  against such officers. He said, "They would be dealt with seriously."

Errabelli Dayakar said the Chief Minister had given instructions to all his ministers to be on field and said that he would increase such visits once the Lok Sabha Elections were over.
Speaking further, he said that the Gram Panchayats would directly get funds from the Centre apart from the state grants and instructed the staff to be careful while using these funds for the development of villages.
