Chandrababu Spreading Canards To Cover His Incompetence
Telangana Bhavan, Hyderabad: Working President of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), K. Tarakarama Rao (KTR) hit out at Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu for launching a baseless smear campaign against the TRS, its chief and Telangana chief minister, K. Chandrashekhar Rao and YSR Congress party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy over his meeting with YS Jagan. KTR was speaking on the occasion of welcoming Vanteru Pratap Reddy, former Congress leader from Gajwel, into the TRS here. KTR pointed out that YS Jagan had emphasised on the need to fight against injustice by the Centre with more MPs. The YSRCP chief had stressed on impact 42 MPs of both the Telugu states coming together to fight for SCS to AP, would have.
KTR reminded Chandrababu Naidu that he cosied up to the Congress at the time of Telangana elections driven only by antipathy towards KCR. The TDP chief had called Sonia Gandhi Italy mafia and used all kinds of abuses against the Congress. Driven by sheer opportunism, Chandrababu struck a deal with the Congress. His intention was only to defeat KCR and he called it 'democratic compulsions'. Now, when he (KTR) met YS Jagan to initiate a dialogue on the proposed Federal Front at the behest of KCR, Chandrababu Naidu, the AP chief minister was hurling baseless allegations.
KTR predicted that the TRS will play a decisive role in government formation after the elections. Taking strong objection to Chandrababu's vile language saying "vultures are descending on AP", KTR asked, "who are vultures"? Chandrababu accused the TRS and KCR of helping the BJP forgetting that the TDP was an ally of PM Modi's NDA for 4 years with TDP ministers in the Centre and BJP ministers in AP.
The AP chief minister has nothing to show by way of achievements in over four and a half years. In order to cover his incompetence, Chandrababu is trying to confuse the people of AP, KTR added.
Addressing the people of AP, KTR said that though the state had been split the people of the two states continued to be one."To my friends in Andhra, I would like to say, let us be like brothers". KTR clarified that the TRS has never opposed the development of Andhra Pradesh and had never spoken against the interests of the state. The party had nothing against the people of Andhra and on the contrary, Andhra citizens settled in Telangana voted for TRS in a big way, he pointed out. KTR concluded by saying that the TRS will win 16 of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana.
