YS Jagan Attack: Court Directs SIT  To Hand Over Case Records To NIA

Vijayawada: The NIA special Court here directed the Special Investigation Team probing the murder attempt on the leader of Opposition AP Assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport on 25 October 2018 to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) immediately. The Court is learnt to have expressed displeasure at the functioning of SIT and its non-cooperation with the premier investigating agency of the country. After hearing the arguments presented by the NIA the special Court directed ACP Nageswara Rao to hand over the case records pertaining to the murder attempt on YS Jagan at Visakhapatnam airport to NIA.

Earlier, the NIA has stated that it had sought case records with respect to the murderous attack on YS Jagan at Visakhapatnam airport by Janupalli Srinivasa Rao, including his statements and all other relevant evidence which formed a part of the preliminary investigation.
