Hyderabad: Asking senior Congress leaders Jana Reddy and Shabbir Ali to pay their dues for the security cover provided to them during the recent Assembly poll campaign, the Telangana Intelligence department has issued notices to the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC). In the notice, the Intelligence inspector-general of police said the charges were due for the bulletproof vehicles used by Shabbir Ali for 90 days and Jana Reddy for 83 days. While Shabbir Ali is still to pay Rs 4.79 lakh, Jana Reddy is yet to pay Rs 4.20 lakh towards propulsion charges at Rs 37 per km and an allowance of Rs 100 per day for the driver.

The bulletproof vehicles were provided to the leaders for the model code of conduct period, as advised by the State Election Commission. Accordingly, Jana Reddy was allocated a Toyota Fortuner vehicle bearing number TS 09 PA 1653 for 83 days and Toyota Fortuner vehicle bearing number TS 09 PA 1654 for 90 days to Shabbir Ali.
