KCR To Meet Agricultural Scientists To Help Telangana Farmers
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is all set to hold a meeting with agricultural scientists, sector experts, and higher officials involved in the process of establishing food processing industries across the Telangana at Pragathi Bhavan on Monday to chalk out an action plan.
The agriculture sector has witnessed a rise in the yield in the recent past. To increase the remuneration received by farmers, the TS government is proposing setting up of food processing units in each Assembly constituency.
CM K Chandrashekhar Rao is planning to meet the officials concerned with industries and agriculture department at Pragathi Bhavan on Monday. Also invited to this meeting are agricultural scientists and experts from the agricultural university.
KCR is also moving swiftly to increase the facilities which are being provided to the agriculture. On January 2, the chief minister will visit the Sriram Sagar project which is taken up under Kaleshwaram and examine the progress of the rejuvenation work in the surrounding sites. He will also visit the pump house sites of Rajeshwarraopet and Rampur.
KCR is expected to visit six major barrages and pump houses being constructed at Medigadda, Sundilla and Annaram and parts of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme.
The team of engineers is expected to submit their report to the chief minister who would hold a review meeting on the ongoing irrigation projects at Pragathi Bhavan either on January 3 or January 4, stated a press release. .
KCR presided over a high-level review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on Saturday. The meeting touched upon irrigation projects, the conduct of medical camps, Panchayat elections and budget formation, it said.
