Chandrababu Fielding Suhasini To Prevent Jr NTR’s Political Entry: KTR

Hyderabad: TRS caretaker Minister K T Rama Rao scored over Andhra Pradesh P Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during his campaign session ahead of the Telangana elections. Addressing a road show at Kukatpally in the city on Thursday, KTR said, if Chandrababu really loved the Nandamuri family, why didn't he appoint Nandamuri Suhasini as a Minister in Andhra Pradesh.

Talking about Congress and TDP alliance (Grand Alliance), KTR said, NTR's soul would be troubled seeing the alliance. The late NTR had founded the TDP party with a purpose to defeat the Congress and Chandrababu has gone ahead and merged the same TDP with the Congress party he said.

Taking pot shots at the Congress-TDP alliance he said that they had ruled the state for the past 67 years but there was no development, now they are claiming that they will work for the betterment of the state. Wearing different coloured party shawls they are visiting various places in Telangana, giving people an impression that it was Sankranthi time, he ridiculed.

Responding to questions of Chandrababu over why he was being criticsed by caretaker CM K. Chandrashekar Rao, KTR said that Chandrababu is asking why he is being criticised today . Was he not the one who tried to poach TRS MLAs and was he not the one who wrote more than 30 letters to the Centre, creating hurdles in irrigation works, he asked.

KTR opined that Chandrababu Naidu making Nandamuri Suhasini the Kukatpally TDP candidate was a ploy. Claiming that the lady was clueless about politics but she was made a TDP candidate by Chandrababu, he said that her father late Harikrishna was made a minister even though he was not an MLA, he made Lokesh a minister even though he was not an elected candidate, so why couldn't he make NTR's granddaughter a minister in his cabinet he questioned. He said that if Chandrababu wanted to strengthen TDP in Telangana, he could have made Lokesh contest from Kukatpally Assembly seat, but he knew that it was a losing seat. Making Suhasini a scapegoat was a larger plan to restrict the Nandamuri family and also restrict her brothers, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram from entering into politics. It was not out of love for her that he had given her the ticket but was making a last minute attempt to establish a TDP stronghold in Telangana.

He appealed to the Seemandhra voters to support TRS in the elections for Kukatpally development because the TRS had worked for the state with a spirit of unity and was not biased towards anybody, he said.
