TRS Clarifies To Chief Electoral Office On Party Meetings In Ministers Quarters
Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashatra Samithi (TRS) has countered a complaint filed by opposition leaders. The leaders from Opposition parties had contended that the TRS ministers were holding party meetings at minister's quarters which was in violation of model code of conduct. They had raised an objection to this effect with the Chief Electoral Office (CEO).
Rubbishing the claims, the TRS informed the CEO that no minister or ruling party leaders were conducting any party meetings as a complaint was lodged by the opposition leaders.
Gattu Ramchander Rao, general secretary of TRS party spoke to the media after submitting the party’s reply on a complaint to the CEO. He said “based on a complaint lodged by the opposition leaders, CEO had issued notice to the TRS seeking an explanation on party meetings being held in Ministers quarters and utilising government officers for party purposes.”
“We submitted a clarification and said no such meetings were held as alleged by opposition parties,” Ramchander Rao said.
He added “TRS has complained against the TDP for conducting party meetings in Andhra Pradesh Ministers’ quarters in Hyderabad and has sought immediate action on such meetings.”
