Hyderabad: Senior leader of the Congress party and former MLA from Sangareddy, Jagga Reddy would be released from Chanchalguda jail on bail in a human traficking case. The Secunderabad court today granted bail to the Congress party leader in a case against him on charges of travelling with a woman and two children to the US on fake passports. Earlier in the month on September 10, Jagga Reddy was arrested by task force police in relation to the human traficking case, along with one of his associates.

According to the police, Jagga Reddy was booked under eight sections of the Indian Penal Code for producing fake documents to earn passports for the woman and the child, claiming that the woman was his wife and the children were his son and daughter.

In the context of the Telangana Assembly elections, the Congress party was contemplating fielding Jagga Reddy's wife Nirmala from Sangareddy constituency.
