Ready For Discussion On Who Brought Telangana: Madhu Yashki To MP Vinod

Hyderabad: AICC Secretary and former MP Madhu Yashki Goud today challenged Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MP Vinod to come for an open debate on the role of the Congress and the TRS in achieving the statehood to Telangana. "Tell me the time and place. I can come anywhere," he said.

Speaking to media here today, he said that the TRS MP was ignorant in his comments on senior Congress leader Gulam Nabi Azad. Saying that it was the then Congress President Sonia Gandhi who had decided to provide statehood to Telangana, he remarked that Vinod was not aware that the Parliament holds the right to accord statehood to regions.

Reacting to the TRS's claims that the party achieved statehood with just two MPs, he asked why the party could not pass the bill for minority reservations. "A silent revolution will oust the TRS from power for good in the upcoming elections. The public will not vote TRS back to power after it had deceived them. CM KCR, MP Vinod and his younger brother should announce the net worth of their wealth," he demanded.
