Uttam Kumar Reddy Is Congress Chief Because Of KCR: KTR
Siricilla: Telangana caretaker IT minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) today said that Uttam Kumar Reddy was appointed as Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Chief thanks to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's (KCR) efforts during the Telangana agitation. Speaking at a meeting that launched his election campaign here at his home constituency, he said that the Congress leader should not forget the TRS's struggle for achieving statehood to Telangana. He added that the cumulative budget of all the six southern States would not suffice the requirements for fulfillment of the Congress's election promises.
KTR further said that he would be indebted to Siricilla constituency, which gave him political birth. "The face of Siricilla has been radically transformed in the last four years. The Opposition leaders should accept it with honesty. If elected again, I will ensure that the region sees ten-fold development," he said at the meeting.
The minister urged the public not to fall into the vicious trap of lies by the Congress leaders. He questioned whether the construction of Kaleshwaram project would be completed if the grand alliance is elected to power.
"Chandrababu Naidu once said that Kaleshwaram project's construction is unconstitutional. What moral right does he have to face the voters of Telangana?" KTR asked.
