With a view to benefit the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), the Chief Minister planned on announcing various welfare programs for Backward Classes (BCs), job notifications, allotment of lands for the construction of buildings for various sections of the society, increase of salaries to employees and other demands. Amid the TRS's preparations for holding its upcoming 'Pragathi Nivedana Sabha,' it is, however, not clear whether the ministers are fully ready to attend the Cabinet meet. The public meeting is scheduled to be held on September 2.
Meanwhile, KCR visited Governor Narasimhan and briefed him about the proceedings of his Delhi visit, advancement of Assembly elections and the Pragathi Nivedana Sabha.

The BJP leaders, it is learnt, requested the TRS Chief for construction of a statue of late Prime Minister Atala Bihari Vajpayee in the city.
