Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) might be inclined to advancing the Legislative Assembly elections due to internal troubles either in his family or infighting within the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

The Congress leader said that KCR was planning to strike an alliance with the Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (MIM) in the Assembly elections, and with the Bharatiya Janata Party later in the Lok Sabha elections.

Bhatti Vikramarka said that there was a conspiracy behind CM KCR's plan to opt for early elections. Adding that irrespective of the timing of elections, the Congress party would win with a thumping majority, he said that the TRS MLAs were fearing defeat.

On Monday, senior leaders of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, under the leadership of its president N Uttam Kumar Reddy, held a high-level meeting to decide the poll strategy and for selection of candidates in the polls.
