BJP Spells Out Poll Strategy In Telangana

Bharatiya Janata Party - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: The Telangana unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) convened its core committee meeting on Tuesday evening to decide on its election strategy, amid speculation on the possibility of advancement of Assembly elections. Under the leadership of former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, BJP National General secretary Muralidhar Rao and BJP Telangana Chief Dr K Laxman, the party's State core committee discussed its action plan in case of dissolution of Telangana Legislative Assembly.

The leadership decided that it was high time that the party workers and the booth level committees prepared for the elections. Party leader Chintha Samba Murthy, MLAs, MLCs Kishan Reddy, Prabhakar and Ramchander Rao participated in the meeting.

According to sources, BJP has decided to contest from all the Assembly constituencies in Telangana, and refrain from any kind of alliance. Also, the BJP is likely to resume the second schedule of the 'Jana Chaitanya Yatra' from September 10. However, the party is yet to finalize the date for the yatra after considering the developments in Telangana Rashtra Samithi's upcoming public meeting, 'Pragathi Nivedana Sabha,' and the possibility of the dissolution of Assembly.

Speaking to media after the meeting, party General Secretaries Achary and Premender Reddy said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) was scared about the rising anti-incumbency against his government.
