KCR Failed To Keep Promises: Cong

Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar - Sakshi Post

Sircilla: Former Lok Sabha member from Karimnagar, Ponnam Prabhakar criticized Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) for failing to deliver on his promise to allocate Rs 100 crore per year for the development of Lord Sri Raja Rajeshwara temple in Vemulawada. On Saturday, several Congress leaders took out a padayatra for a distance of 12 kilometers under the leadership of Prabhakar from the temple to the district Collectorate in the town here. Speaking on the occasion, the Ex-MP remarked that the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) could not fulfil a single election promise in the last four years.

Ponnam Prabhakar said that CM KCR did not even spare Lord Shiva. He demanded that the State government release Rs 400 crore immediately towards the development of the temple. "The Vemulawada Temple Development Authority (VTDA) has to be set up in Vemulawada itself," he added. In this regard, the Congress leaders handed a memorandum to Joint Collector Yasmin Basha.
