KCR No Less Than A Dictator: Jeevan Reddy

Karimnagar: Deputy leader TCLP T. Jeevan Reddy compared Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao's rule to that of a dictator. Ration dealers of the state today approached him seeking solutions to their problems. Expressing their inability to operate in the state, they said that suicide seemed to be the only option left for them after having their dealerships terminated.

Speaking to media after meeting the ration dealers, Jeevan Reddy he said chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao was behaving in an undemocratic fashion. The Congress leader warned that the government would collapse if it takes steps like doing away with ration dealers.

Jeevan Reddy suggested to the TRS government not to resort to a vengeful attitude against the hapless ration dealers. He reminded KCR that their government would last only for five years. But the ration dealers were appointed on a permanent basis.

Jeevan Reddy said the government should not be vindictive but try to address the ration dealers' justifiable demands. He demanded the government clear the pending amount up to Rs 417 crores immediately. He also asked the government to set up a committee to look into their demands - pay Rs 87 per quintal rice and also Rs 30000 honarary salary for every dealer. If needed he was ready for a legal battle against the government for the sake of ration dealers, he added.
