Telangana Govt. Plans To Fill 2000 Posts In Forest Department

Hyderabad: Forest minister Jogu Ramnna on Monday said that government would take steps to fill more than 2,000 vacant posts in the department.

The minister added that forest department too recast its structure at the district level after district reorganization

The minister said that bulk of the vacancy existed at the field-level, which includes forest beat officers (552) and assistant forest beat officers (1,305). The other field-level staff vacancies to be filled up include - range officers (67) and section officers (90) and 57 other posts.

The minister added that forest department too recast its structure at the district level after district reorganization. Divisional forest officer has been done away with and instead district forest officer will be there for each district.

Meanwhile, coming to wildlife sanctuaries the head of the sanctuary will be in-charge of the geographical limits of the preserve even if it extends to more than one district.
