Telangana, AP catch 'cold'
Severe cold wave conditions gripped Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states with night temperatures falling well below the normal.
If the weatherman is to be believed, the temperatures will dip further and this would continue till January 15. Adilabad, Nizamabad, Medak, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad could have night temperatures as low as 10 degrees celsius. In Adilabad, the temperature has fallen to 3.9 degrees badly hitting the normal life in the plains and in the hill villages. Dipping temperatures have become a cause for concern for people of Karimnagar. A thick blanket of fogg has enveloped several areas in North Telangana badly affecting early morning visibility. Moderate to severe cold wave conditions continue to persist across Khammam district.
The weatherman predicts that the weather could get chiller and advised people not to venture out in the nights and early mornings. Doctors advised patients with respiratory ailments like asthma not to take their morning strolls till the situation gets normal. The severe chill has left the aged, sick and shelter-less people in pathetic condition.
In the agency areas of Andhra Pradesh, the temperaturs have fallen significantly. In Lambasingi the temporature fell to 0 degrees. In Paderu it is 3 degrees, in Minumuluru 5 degress and Paderu Ghat 2 degrees were recorded.
