Techie forges PM's sign, arrested
A CBI team from Delhi on Wednesday arrested a local youth in connection with a forgery case registered in the national capital.
The accused allegedly forged the signature of prime minister to secure a PG seat in Lucknow University.
Accused Farhan Akhtar, a B-Tech student, was produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Nampally court complex this evening for transit warrant (so that he could be taken to Delhi).
Sources said a case under section 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) has been registered against Akhtar in Delhi for allegedly forging signature on a letter.
