Accused Shiv Shankar got married to Purnajyothy (27) in November last year. In course of time, he discovered that his wife is suffering from ailments. He then started harassing her and told his in-laws to make their second daughter get married to him.
As the parents defied his plan, he started demanding Rs 10 lakh dowry, snatched away her cell phone and fixed CCTV cameras including the bedroom.
Police filed a case on Wednesday under sections 498-A, 406 and 506 of the IPC and sections 4 and 6 of the DP Act.
