TDP Stoops To New Low To Win Nandyal By-poll

Kurnool: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has stooped to a new low to win the Nandyal by-poll by making bumper offers to rowdy-sheeters.

TDP district president Somishetty Venkateshwarulu said that the party will remove the rowdy sheets opened against them if they work for the party in the ensuing polls. He made the offer during a party meet here on Thursday. Addressing the meet he said, "Do not be afraid of rowdy sheets against your name. The issue has been brought to the notice of the chief minister. Soon, minister Lokesh will tour Nandyal and will also discuss this particular issue."

The statements and assurances by the district president have raised eyebrows in political circles in Kurnool.
