TDP still says loan waiver is possible

TDP is still saying that waiving of loans of farmers is possible on even after the statement of RBI that states do not have that kind of power.

Deputy Chief Minister K.E.Krishna Murthy said the government would talk to the bankers on waiving off loans at the earliest. He said the state Government was capable of waiving crop loans.

Speaking to reporters in Kurnool on Saturday, he said that the farmers need not worry about loan waiver.

Krishna Murthy said that review meeting were being conducted to search the new capital for Andhra Pradesh. “Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu has agreed to convert Rayalaseema into an industrial hub,” said the deputy chief minister.

It may be recalled RBI shocked the Telangana government by saying that waiving off loans should be done by the state government and the bankers should not be made the partners in it. It said that the government can repay the loan amount to the farmers later and the farmers have to pay back their present loans.

Despite all this, the TDP leaders are trying to deceit the farmers that loan waiving is possible.
